EAGLE 2 CO2 Scrubber Replacement FAQs

Why was the 33-6010RK CO2 scrubber discontinued?
A: The 33-6010RK CO2 scrubber was discontinued due to long-standing production challenges. It has been officially replaced by the 33-6015RK scrubber.

What is different about the 33-6010RK CO2 scrubber?

A:
Unlike its predecessor, the 33-6015RK does not change color to indicate usage. Instead the filter material begins to turn to powder as its CO2 absorption capacity diminishes.

Is the 33-6015RK compatible with both the EAGLE & EAGLE 2?

  • EAGLE: The 33-6015RK CANNOT be installed on the CO2 scrubber bracket of the original EAGLE.
  • EAGLE 2: The 33-6015RK CAN be installed on the CO2 scrubber bracket.

Are all previous 33-6010RK configurations available with the new 33-6015RK?

A:
Yes, the 33-6015RK is available in all configurations previously offered by the 33-6010RK.

Can installing a CO2 scrubber affect sensor readings?

A:
Yes, installing a CO2 scrubber on an EAGLE or EAGLE 2 may affect electrochemical (EC) sensor readings if an EC sensor is installed in the instrument.

What should be done if EC sensor readings are affected?

A:
If sensor readings are impacted, a charcoal filter (Part # 33-6092) should be installed between the CO2 scrubber and the instrument inlet to mitigate the interference.
