GX-6100 Reprogramming

GX-6100 Reprogramming Software Files 1.9MB ZIP file
(includes program and “mot” file for reprogramming)

Open ZIP after downloading and save files to your download folder, then follow the instructions below.

1. Install the CP210x drivers from the Resources\Software page on the RKI website if they are not already installed on your computer.
2. Double click the GX-6100 Loader.exe file and follow the prompts to install the GX-6100 Program Loader onto your computer.
   
3. Plug an IrDA cable into a USB port on your computer.
4. Launch the GX-6100 Program Loader program.
5. Make sure the correct COM port is selected and click Open. If you get an error message, change the COM port and click Open again.
   
6. If the Open action completed successfully, the bottom left corner will say “Connect”.
   
7. Click Select.
   
8. Navigate to the .mot file (download .mot file) and click Open.
   
9. Align the IrDA cable with the IrDA port on the GX-6100. The GX-6100’s IrDA port is located below the POWER/ENTER button.
   
10. Turn on the GX-6100 by pressing the POWER/ENTER button until you hear a beep. Once it has connected to the Program Loader program, the Go button will become active.
    
11. Click the Go button.
12. The Program Loader will start reprogramming the GX-6100. The reprogramming process will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
    
13. Once the programming is complete, a pop up will appear. Click OK.
