This RKI Fixed Systems course provides a comprehensive overview of fixed gas detection system fundamentals, with a focus on proper installation, configuration, and operation of RKI fixed monitoring solutions. This training is designed for technicians, integrators, and safety sales professionals responsible for deploying of maintaining fixed gas detection systems in industrial and commercial environments.

Participants begin with a product overview to understand system components, capabilities, and typical applications. The course then covers essential wiring practices, including AC and DC power requirements, shielding techniques, and strategies for minimizing RF and EMI interference to ensure reliable system performance.

Key communication protocols and relay logic concepts are explained to help attendees understand system integration, alarm signaling, and control functions. The training also addresses vapor density and area classifications, emphasizing how gas behavior and hazardous location requirements influence detector placement and system design. Best practices for conduit selection and routing are reviewed to support compliant and durable installations.

The wireless platform portion of the course introduces wireless system architecture, with guidance on signal strength, antenna placement, repeater usage, and battery considerations to maximize reliability and uptime. Participants will also receive hands-on instruction in system programming and calibration, ensuring accurate gas readings and proper alarm functionality.
