Help Desk Support Technician

Entry level role to support the IT Manager in providing onsite help desk support to all workstations, software related issues, printing, network connectivity, and phone system administration. This position is a first line response for users requiring assistance with all IT issues.

Duties

  • Respond to requests for technical assistance by phone, email, or personnel requests and logging the issue in a help desk management system.
  • Tracking issues to resolution and updating the internal knowledgebase.
  • Escalate more involved problems to the appropriate Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and technical escalation teams.
  • Solve problems on Windows and Macintosh platforms with equal proficiency.
  • Create and maintain user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory.
  • Create and maintain user accounts in Microsoft Exchange.
  • Basic support with company ERP and CRM systems.
  • Track customer technology assets and licenses.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • AA in desktop/network support, Windows OS or Apple Certified Support, or 1 year related job experience.
  • Knowledge of Mac OS X and Windows desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of email client usage as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Knowledge of printing, scanning, and faxing technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

This is a full time hourly position with medical, dental, and 401K benefits.
