RKI Instruments, Inc., an innovative gas detection company located in Union City, is seeking a focused individual with strong technical, leadership and customer skills to manage our Field Service and Repair Department. This role is responsible for understanding the company and customer’s service and repair related needs; developing, defining and implementing short and long-term service strategies to achieve company and customer objectives.
Responsibilities
Education and Training
Prefer a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty and/or at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must be fluent in spoken and written English and able to interface well with customers via multiple platforms such as phone, email, and in person.
Technical Requirements
Must be able to read and understand schematics, loading drawings, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, technical bulletins and be proficient in AC, DC and digital theory. Must possess excellent mechanical ability, be proficient with appropriate tools for servicing electronic instrumentation. Must be proficient with Windows and OS based computer platforms. Must be able to carry loads of up to 50 pounds.
