Terms & Conditions of Website Use

This information is intended as a guide only and does not constitute any contract and is subject to change without notice. RKI is not liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site. RKI, under no circumstances, shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or cumulative losses or damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site or its contents, any errors, misrepresentations or omissions on the material contained on the site.

RKI does not accept any liability related to third party websites which may be linked or accessible through this website.

You agree that the material accessed or downloaded through the use of this site is entirely at your own risk.

Prices are subject to change without notice. All prices are in US Dollars.

Payment Terms

Our payment terms are Net 30 Days Date of Invoice (Net 30 DOI) with credit approval. Customers with overdue accounts are subject to credit hold and might be required to prepay future shipments. Service fees will apply to all credit card payments – 2.5% for domestic shipments, 3.0% for international shipments.

Minimum Billing/HandIing Charges

$30.00 net minimum billing (excluding shipping charges) applies to any order. A handling charge will be added to any order under our minimum billing to equal $30.00.

Freight Terms

All orders for domestic or international delivery are shipped FOB shipping point, regardless of point of origin. This applies to orders shipped from RKI as well as orders drop-shipped from third parties.

Shipping Charges

Shipping is prepaid and added to the invoice at the shipper’s current published rates, unless a collect account number is provided. Within North America, RKI ships via UPS ground unless otherwise specified. Dangerous Goods Shipments – Dangerous goods (calibration gas cylinders and kits) incur additional handling and shipping charges.

International Shipping Charges

Any customs fees and import taxes or duties that apply at country of destination are the responsibility of the consignee. RKI quotes only the shipping (transportation) cost.

Drop Shipments

RKI will drop ship to customers at no extra charge. RKl’s default method of shipment is UPS Ground.

Next Day Delivery

Orders that require next day delivery must be received by 12:00 noon Pacific Time. Items ordered will ship if they are in stock. Customers must confirm next day orders by phone to assure next day delivery. Fixed system orders require a minimum of 24 hours for set up and calibration.

Order Acknowledgement

RKI confirms all orders by email. Discrepancies must be challenged by the customer before the scheduled ship date; otherwise, RKI accepts no responsibility for incorrect orders.

Shortages/Errors

Claims for shortage, shipping errors, or damage must be made within 7 days after receipt of shipment.

Returns and Credits

Returns for credit must be pre-approved and accompanied by an RKI Material Return Form and include original packaging in good condition without any markings. Contact RKI with the reason for the return to obtain a Material Return Form and RMA number. RMA numbers are valid for 30 days only; after 30 days, a new return authorization must be requested. Returns not accompanied by a complete Material Return Form (with valid RMA number) will be returned to the sender. A restocking fee of $75.00 or 10% of the invoice value (whichever is greater) will apply to all returns for credit. Shipping charges are not credited. No returns of sensors, or instruments with sensors, will be accepted after 30 days. No returns of dangerous goods (cylinders) or perishable items (tablets or tapes) will be accepted.

Returns for Repair

All items returned for repair must be accompanied by a completed Service Order Form with each instrument. The form must include a description of the problem. Service Order Form: https://www.rkiinstruments.com/download/forms/service-and-repair

Satisfaction Guarantee

We guarantee that our equipment will perform to our specifications. If the customer is not satisfied, the equipment may be returned to RKI within 15 days of original shipment for full credit less shipping charges, if accompanied by a completed Material Return Form (and valid RMA number) and in new condition.

Calibration Certificates Calibration certificates are available upon request at $10 per instrument.
