This technology utilizes a proprietary process to produce a sensor that is selective to hydrogen (no false alarms from other gases or vapors) and virtually immune to traditional catalyst poisons. For instance, semiconductor operations need to detect hydrogen without experiencing nuisance alarms from cleaning solutions containing isopropyl alcohol. Glass manufacturing processes need to detect hydrogen, but also involve silicone, which can poison traditional catalytic bead sensors.
