The 2010 Winter Olympics Cauldron was built with a fixed gas detection system using RKI’s products. A Beacon 410 controller and four Direct Connect LEL sensors were installed inside the arms of the outdoor cauldron.

RKI’s H2 sensors were also used inside the fuel cell buses that transported athletes and spectators, and in the garages and terminals where the buses were used.
